Manoj Joshi (Gujarati: મનોજ જોશી, Marathi: मनोज जोशी) is an Indian film and television actor. He began his career in Marathi theatre, also putting up performances in Gujarati and Hindi theatre. He has also acted in over 60 films since 1998, many of his roles being comedy.

He acted in TV series like Chanakya,[1] Ek Mahal Ho Sapno Ka (TV series),[1] Rau (Marathi), Sangdil, Kabhi Souten Kabhi Saheli,Khichdi, Mura Raska Mai La (Marathi). His sensitive portrayal of a husband (as Sharad Joshi,) dealing with his insecurities and an ambitious wife, in the prime time Marathi serial, Abhalmaya, was much appreciated and arguably is his best role till date. He debuted in Sarfarosh (SI Bajju) alongside his brother who played as Bala Thakur in the film. Joshi's break came in a comedy filmHungama followed by Hulchul, Dhoom, Bhagam Bhag,[2] Phir Hera Pheri, Chup Chup Ke, Bhool Bhulaiyaa,[3] and Billo Barber. Joshi was also acted in the Star Plus TV series Gulaal.[citation needed]

His father was Navneet Joshi, and his younger brother Rajesh Joshi was an actor too. Rajesh died in 1998.[4] Manoj Joshi hails from Adapodara village near Himatnagar in north Gujarat.
