has one sister and two brothers. He was born as Nirmal Pancholi in Mumbai,
India. He went to St. Joseph's high school in Juhu, Mumbai. He is a Gujarati

Career[edit]
1985s[edit]
Aditya Pancholi was spotted by a director when he was travelling
in a local train for his charming good looks and personality . He was signed
for six video films produced by Hiba . Hiba was owned by Nari Hira the owner of
Stardust Magazine. Shahadat, (1985), Sone Ka Pinjra, (1986), Siyahi, (1986),
Kalank Ka Tika, (1986), Afshar Ki Saali, (1986),Maryam Ki Beti, (1986). He made
his Bollywood debut with Sasti Dulhan Mahenga Dulha, (1986).
But it was K.C.Bokadia's Kab Tak Chup Rahungi, (1988) along
with Amala another debuntante from south which established him in Bollywood. He
followed up with Mohabat Ka Paigham, (1989) along with Meenakshi Sheshdri and
Pyaar Ka Toofan, but both the romantic films didn't help his career. He was
paired with Superstar Amitabh Bacchan and Mithun Chakraborthy in Jaadugar,
(1989) and Ladaai, (1989). The latter was an average grosser. The same year saw
him with Veteran actor Raaj Kumar and Dev Anand inDesh Ki Dushman, (1989) and
Lashkar, (1989).
1990[edit]
Aditya Pancholi played a double role for the first time in
Zakhmi Zameen, (1990) opposite Jaya Prada that of village Dafli wala Mangal and
an inspector but it was Mukul S. Anand directed Maha sangram (1990), where he
played the Rajput character Chota Ghoda which brought him to limelight in
Bollywood as an actor. In the same year he starred with Madhuri Dixit in
Sailaab, (1990). The same year he starred in Baap Numbri Beta Dus Numbri,
(1990)' his first comedy film along with Shakti Kapoor and Kader Khan and it

(1991), Yaad Rakhegi Duniya (1992), Aatish: Feel the Fire (1994), Khilona
(1996), Hameshaa (1997), Yes Boss (1997),Military Raaj (1998) . He got his
First Film Fare Nomination for Best Villain for Yes Boss and his role from
young guy of 25 years to 40 years matured man in the Sanjay Gupta directed
Hameshaa got him critical appreciation. His performance in the Sanjay Gupta
directed Aatish: Feel the Fire was compared to Hollywood actor Al Pacchino and
was well received by the masses and classes. His performance in the double role
in Jung (1998) along with Mithun Chakraborthy and Ajay Devgan was also very
well received.
He also produced his only film Chor Aur Chaand (1993) which
flopped at the box office in spite of critical acclaim and great music.

was well appreciated. In the same year he did two more films Jaani Dushman: Ek
Anokhi Kahani (2002) and Yeh Dil Aashiqanaa (2002). In 2003 he played the
Patriotic Ranbir Singh in Border Hindustan Ka (2003) and a cameo in the Sharukh

which he took a break for five long years from Bollywood.

character in the Chandan Arora directed Striker (2010) which got him positive
response critically. He was also nominated in Global Indian Film & TV
Honours award for Best Villain for his role.
After the successful Aatish: Feel the Fire and the average
Hameshaa he colloborated with Sippy Films in Dum Maro Dum (2011)directed by
Rohan Sippy. In the same year he was seen in a special appearance in the Salman
Khan starrer Bodyguard (2011) as Vikrant.
He paid his tribute to media tycoon Nari Hira in the Emran
Hashmi starrer Rush (2012) where he played the role of Roger Khanna but the
film flopped. He made his Bengali debut with Idiot (2012).
He started 2013 with Mumbai Mirror which in spite of the
critical appreciation and good performance by all could not do well at the box
office. But Race 2 (2012) was a major hit at the box office. In fact it was the
first 1 billion film of the year.

southern star Venkatesh as the main antogonist in Shadow.
